The Malewa Forest Sanctuary website nearing completion

The Malewa Forest Sanctuary encompasses a surviving remnant of the original rain forest that covered the highland above Nairobi and stretched up to Mount Kenya. While the sanctuary has been managed and nurtured for more than 40 years on a private basis, a foundation is being established to formalise the situation to ensure sustainability for the long-term. As part of this process, a detailed inventory has been made of the sanctuary's over 470 species, some of which are apparently unique to the Malewa Forest. This inventory will be made available in the Flora section of the association's website which is under construction.
